IMPACT 100, now IMPACT 472

…not really. They’ll keep the IMPACT 100 name, but the good news is they will now give 4 grants of $118,000 each.

IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area, a local women’s philanthropy group, is pleased to announce its 2007 membership of 472 members. In 2007, IMPACT 100 will distribute four grants to non profit organizations in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties with each grant totaling $118,000.

All non profit organizations are invited to join us for an informative free workshop entitled “Telling Your Story and Having It Heard” that IMPACT 100 is co-hosting with the Pensacola Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association. The workshop will be held on Thursday, March 29, from 8:30 AM until noon at the Lewis Bear Company. Escambia and Santa Rosa County non-profits interested in strengthening their IMPACT 100 grant application and organization message are strongly encouraged to attend. As an added bonus, we will be providing a media contact list on CD for all interested participants.

IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area, founded in 2004, with an annual membership of $1,000 per woman, raised $233,000 in its first year, $250,000 in 2005, its second year, and $340,000 in 2006. Membership is open to all women. Annual dues of $1,000 are pooled together. Grants are then awarded to non profits in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties, with a minimum grant of $100,000. There are five focus groups for philanthropy: arts & culture; education; environment, recreation & preservation; family; and health & wellness.
