IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area chose 12 grant recipients at this year’s Annual Meeting held yesterday. These nonprofit organizations will each receive a grant of $100,670 from the members of IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area.
On “Real News” this morning, Kristin Longley announced the winners and new award the organization has created.
“We are a women’s philanthropic organization, but we are so thankful for gentlemen like you that have supported us and supported our mission for so many years,” she said. “And because of that, we created a Impact award and we will be giving you one of those as a longtime supporter of Impact 100.”

With 1,208 members this year, IMPACT 100 was able to award 12 grants of over $100,000 each to nonprofit organizations in our community for a total impact of over $1.2 million! Since its inception, IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area has awarded 165 grants totaling more than $17 million to worthy nonprofits serving Pensacola Bay Area communities.
NEW MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
The IMPACT 100 Membership season begins today with the first Meet and Mingle event to be held Wednesday, November 6, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Portofino Island Resort, 10 Portofino Dr., Pensacola Beach. Any nonprofit organization that believes a grant of over $100,000 would be impactful for their organization should check out a fun and informative series called Link & Learn, created specifically for the nonprofit community. These events are for nonprofits to link with other nonprofit organizations to network and share ideas and learn detailed information about the IMPACT 100 grant process. The first of this series will be November 20, 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church, 6205 North W Street, Pensacola. IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area, Inc. is an organization of philanthropic-minded women committed to improving their community by providing substantial grants to nonprofit organizations in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. Grants are distributed in five focus areas: Arts, Culture & History; Education; Environment & Recreation; Family; Health & Wellness.
A recent economic impact study shows that IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area members have contributed $29.8 million to Escambia and Santa Rosa economies over the past 20 years. This report comes from the Haas Center at the University of West Florida. IMPACT 100 members contribute over $1 million annually in direct grants to nonprofit organizations serving the two counties. Additionally, the organizations purchase goods and services from local businesses, creating further contributions through taxes and other indirect and induced spending.
Membership is open to any woman, age 18 or over, who makes an annual tax-deductible donation (membership fee) of $1,000 by March 1 of any calendar year. The entire contribution is used to fund grants.
