On Oct. 11, IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area will award a total of $1,166,000 in project grants of $106,000 each to 11 nonprofit organizations serving Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. Given the community effect by the global pandemic, the IMPACT 100 mission to know and serve our community by collectively funding significant grants to charitable initiatives is critical, now more than ever.
To assist in preparing area nonprofit organizations to apply for a grant, IMPACT 100 is hosting their free Nonprofit Workshop. This workshop is open to all area nonprofit organizations who wish to learn about the 2020 grant process for IMPACT 100, get tips for writing a successful grant, and be inspired to create a winning project for the 17th year of IMPACT 100 giving.
This online only workshop will be held 9-11 a.m. on  Thursday, April 16. All nonprofits are encouraged to attend this informative event. This event is sponsored in part by GBSI.
“Building Blocks for Sustainable Success†is the theme of this year’s presentation by keynote speaker, Cathy Brown, Associate Director of Education at The Fund-Raising School, Lily Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University. With 15 years’ experience running small nonprofits and quasi-government agencies, as well as board and volunteer experience in a wide range of subsectors combined with her current position as lead practitioner faculty for many of the face-to-face professional development courses and online courses, Brown has a wealth of valuable knowledge to share.
In her presentation she will focus on helping nonprofit organizations build strong, effective, and diverse boards; sustainability planning; and exercising powerful “storytelling†techniques. The workshop will also include information regarding the 2020 IMPACT 100 grant application process with a review of all required forms and instructions for digital grant submissions. Even if an organization isn’t planning to apply for an IMPACT 100 grant this year, the information shared will be helpful in preparing any grant application.
All nonprofit organizations are encouraged to attend this online webinar. Pre-registration is required. Nonprofits may register by Monday April 13th  at impact100pensacola.org/grant-info/nonprofits-workshop. Registered organizations will receive a link to the online webinar on April 15.
Letters of Intent to Apply for a grant are due by noon on April 30. A Letter of Intent (LOI) must be submitted in order to apply for a grant; however, submitting an LOI does not obligate an organization to submit a grant application. The letter of intent is available at impact100pensacola.communityforce.com/Login.aspx.
Grant applications must be submitted by noon on June 16.
