IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area, a local women’s philanthropy group, is pleased to announce that it will hold its annual membership announcement meeting March 15, 2007 at My Spayce at 212 East Garden Street. At this meeting scheduled from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Impact 100 Pensacola Bay Area will announce its final number for the 2007 membership that closed on March 1. Also included in the March 15th announcement will be the number of grant applications to be distributed in 2007 and the amount of each grant award. All 2007 members are invited to attend.

IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area, founded in 2004, with an annual membership of $1,000 per woman, raised $233,000 in its first year, $250,000 in 2005, its second year, and $340,000 in 2006. Membership is open to all women. Annual dues of $1,000 are pooled together. Grants are then awarded to non profits in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties, with a minimum grant of $100,000. There are five focus groups for philanthropy: arts & culture; education; environment, recreation & preservation; family; and health & wellness.
