Attorney Alex Andrade has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the 1st Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Andrade is an attorney with Moore, Hill & Westmoreland. He was part of the 2016 Inweekly Rising Star class.
He maintains a general practice with a focus on civil litigation, real property and commercial litigation. Prior to being admitted to the bar, Alex worked as a certified legal intern in the Office of the State Attorney in the 1st Judicial Circuit. Exclusively handling domestic violence cases, Alex handled multiple jury trials and a number of bench trials.
Alex earned his J.D. from the University of Florida (UF) Levin College of Law, where he served as President of the Trial Team and Chief Justice of the UF Supreme Court. For his service to the University of Florida, Alex was inducted into the UF Hall of Fame.
