The Mayor’s office emailed last Thursday to the council copies of the contract for Lysia Bowling, the new city attorney. Strangely, the contract makes Bowling an at-will employee of the mayor and makes no reference to the city council having to approve her termination.
The agreement is between the mayor and Bowling. not the city of Pensacola. The Pensacola City Council is not a party to it.
I’m not sure this is in agreement with the 2010 City Charter.
