The Medical Examiner’s Office is currently investigating a death in the Escambia County Jail Central Booking Division. Richard Craig Adams Jr., age 47, had been incarcerated on charges of Grand Theft and was an inmate worker.
He was found unresponsive at approximately 4:30 this morning and transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased shortly after 5:00 am. There were no indications of foul play. However, Sheriff David Morgan has asked for an autopsy.
