Jim Hizer joins Convergent Nonprofit Solutions

Convergent Nonprofit Solutions, one of the country’s preeminent fundraising and capital campaign management firms, has announced the addition of Jim Hizer, CEcD, CCE as project director. In his new role, Hizer will assist nonprofit organizations in meeting their fundraising objectives. His first assignment is to guide the Waukee (IA) Economic Development Corporation through their Transitional Funding Initiative.

Hizer brings a wealth of experience and a track record of success to the Convergent team. In his 28 year career as an economic development professional and chamber of commerce executive, Hizer has raised more than $112 million, consistently exceeded campaign goals, and has created more than 18,000 jobs for the organizations and communities for which he has served. He has personally worked with hundreds of global businesses in guiding their project and investment decisions. Well-respected within the national chamber of commerce and economic development communities, Hizer holds a Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) designation from the American Chamber of Commerce Executives and a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation from the International Economic Development Council. He is one of only 15 professionals in the nation who hold both the CCE and CEcD designations.

A native of Indiana, Hizer received his BS in public administration from Indiana University and is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma as well as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management at the University of Notre Dame. Hizer and his family reside in Gulf Breeze, Florida.
