Several local leaders have encouraged me to run for the District 3 House seat vacated by Holly Benson.

My purpose in seeking public office is to serve the people of my hometown and region, who are facing numerous problems that are not being properly addressed on the state or federal level. That goal may be better served in Tallahassee than Washington, and I am seriously considering seeking election to the District 3 seat.

If I decide to run, I will make a formal announcement later this week.
