Joint city, county meeting on homeless set of May 9

The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners, Pensacola City Council and Mayor D.C. Reeves will hold a joint workshop on Tuesday, May 9 at 9:30 a.m. at the Bayview Community Resource Center, located at 2000 E. Lloyd St. in Pensacola.

The purpose of the workshop is to receive a presentation from Dr. Joe Savage, U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness, entitled “All In: The Federal Strategic Plan to End Homelessness.”

Since this is a workshop only and no action will be taken, there will not be an opportunity for public comment.

The meeting will be live streamed on the Escambia County YouTube page at youtube.com/@EscambiaCountyFL.

Dr. Savage will make the same presentation to the public on Tuesday, May 9 at 6 p.m. at CivicCon, which is free and open to the public. The event will take place at the REX Theatre, located at 18 N. Palafox St. Click here to register.
