Junior League helping with Kid’s PJ drive – today

The Junior League of Pensacola is to supporting  “Tucking Kids In Safe and Sound,” an initiative of Families First Network of Lakeview Center to collect new pajamas for children in foster care.

League members will collect new pajamas and monetary donations on Friday, Oct. 14 at Wal-Mart, 2650 Creighton Road, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All pajamas and funds collected will be donated to Families First Network for children ages birth to 17 who are entering or re-entering the foster care program in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties. Tucking Kids In Safe and Sound is just one of many Junior League community service and fundraising projects. League members are currently raising funds for breast cancer research, coordinating training opportunities for teenage girls in foster care and their families, planning holiday events to brighten the lives of at-risk children, and gearing up for the annual Marketbasket holiday shopping expo, Nov. 17, 18 and 19, 2011.
