Kudo’s to the PATS students who recently competed in Odyssey of the Mind in Orlando and received awards for their efforts!
However this was not the first time the PATS Center sent a team to Orlando to compete in this fun and educational event. During the 1999-2000 school year my daughter and a team of very bright and talented students represented the PATS Center in competition at the state level in Orlando, as well. My daughter does not recall her team winning any special recognition, but the experience was tremendous.
Keep reporting on the successes of these exceptional children so that perhaps the chiefs at the Hall Center might start allocating more money and resources to these programs. These kids are Escambia County’s future.
Also, History Fair just wrapped up in Tallahassee and Escambia County’s brightest youths out-shined many other counties!
