Lakeview Center makes list of Top 100 Women-Led Businesses [podcast]

Lakeview Center has been named #7 in this year’s list of “Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Florida” by The Commonwealth Institute and Kaufman Rossin. The list includes both non-profit and for-profit organizations and factors in revenue, workplace diversity, innovation and customer benefits. The organizations’ leaders are required to be among the highest-ranking executives in the Florida marketplace.

Allison Hill is the president and CEO of Lakeview Center, whose mission is “helping people throughout life’s journey.” The team serves others through some of their most vulnerable moments, providing behavioral health care, child welfare support and employment services for people with disabilities. In 2021, the team impacted almost 32,000 lives.

Allison joined the organization in January 1999 and became vice president and chief financial officer in February 2003. In August 2014, she was promoted to chief operating officer, and in 2016 became the third chief executive officer in Lakeview’s history.

At Lakeview, Allison is responsible for the daily functions of a $270 million, 2,800-employee human services organization that impacts lives in multiple states and the District of Columbia. Allison serves in the UWF Executive Mentoring program and on the UWF College of Business Advisory Council. She is a Lifetime Member of Leadership Florida, graduating from Cornerstone Class 36. She also is a member of the Rotary Club of Pensacola and serves on local and statewide boards of directors, including the Florida Network of Youth and Family Services.

Allison is passionate about inclusion and engages her team through regular, transparent communications sending “selfie video” updates to all team members, as well as hosting regular “Ask Allison” forums to give all team members the opportunity to come directly to her with questions, concerns or ideas. Allison is a strong proponent of diversity. Half of her executive team is comprised of women, and under Allison’s leadership, Lakeview Center has launched employee resource groups to bring together groups including veterans, remote workers and intergenerational employees.
