Rising Star Nominations

In 2008, our newspaper began our Rising Stars program to honor the leaders in the under-35 crowd. Independent News has published each January a list of those individuals who are seen as the upcoming leaders in their professions and in the community. Each year, the number of nominees of talented men and women, and our panel has a difficult time culling the list down to the top third.
The rules are simple.
Nominees must:
* Not have reached age 35 before 1/1/12,
* Live or work in Escambia or Santa Rosa counties, and
* Not have been named an IN Rising Star before.

All nominees will be contacted for more information to complete the selection process. The 2012 Rising Stars will be published in our Jan. 26, 2012 issue.
