Latte Wars brewing


It’s McDonalds vs Starbucks. The prize is dominance in the $11 billion specialty coffee industry. In 2000, then Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz declared his company would be the “McDonalds of coffee.” Well now McDonalds wants to be the McDonalds of coffee.

The word we get is the local McDonalds will join the Latte Wars by the end of the year – once they finish their remodeling.
