Effective March 1, 2023, the President and CEO Sara Lefevers of The NISSI Project (Network of Immediate Services for Survivors International) based out or Pensacola, FL will resign. Organization In search for expereinced executive director to carry out mission.
The organization is set to launch full operations for their Survivor Service Center in January 2023 during their launch week of January 9th-15th. The organization has a full calendar to showcase their mission to the community during the National Human Trafficking Awareness Month. The NISSI Survivor Service Center is unlike any other survivor advocacy center as their team acts as first responders to trafficking cases working closely with healthcare providers and law enforcement when a victim is identified. Their care consist of short-term residential while meeting immediate needs and providing advocacy for survivors exiting human trafficking or sexual exploitation.
Lefevers became President and CEO in May of 2020 and has been working towards this launch ever since. “This fight is not for a few, its for all of us. Each of us have a different role to play and a different mission to carry out. The establishment of this needed service was mine, I’ve accomplished it, now its time for me to get out of the way so the next person can fulfill their mission,” Lefevers stated.
