Leonard Skinner dies

The namesake of Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, Leonard Skinner, died Monday in his sleep at the St. Catherine Laboure Manor in Jacksonville. The basketball coach and gym teacher at Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville in the late 1960s once sent a group of students to the principal’s office because their hair was too long….and the band remembered him when they were looking for a name.

Maybe there is a band out there in Pensacola that wants to the be the Malcontent Tom-asses.
