Letter to CMPA

Dear Esteemed Board Members:

The Community Maritime Park Referendum Voted YES for approval by the People of Pensacola on September 5 2006, clearly stated:

For the approval or rejection of the following actions by the City Council: That the Master Development Agreement (MDA) and Master Lease Agreement (MLA) between the City and the Community Maritime Park Associates (CMPA) related to the development, construction and operation of the Community Maritime Park be approved.

The people voted Yes for a Master Developer and I don’t think the people would want you to choose a Master Developer who will cost the People of Pensacola nearly 50% more money on every aspect of development and who, also, in turn, is the firm not selected by the African American Chamber of Commerce to be the best for the Community regarding jobs and the Contractor’s Academy.

There is a motion on the table, I suggest there shall be a vote tomorrow.
See you all at the meeting.

Sincerely,
Eric Schmitz
