Library open Mondays

On Monday, November 6, an event that hasn’t happened in 16 years will occur! Drum roll, please! … THE WEST FLORIDA PUBLIC LIBRARY WILL BE OPEN MONDAYS!

The Library’s budget was cut in 1990 and Monday service with it. It’s been 16 years since the public has been inside the Library on a Monday, but starting November 6 at 9:00 am that will all change.

Residents of Escambia County will now have library service 7 days a week. The Tryon and Southwest Branches will still  be closed on Sundays, but the Main Library will be open all seven days.  With the library’s website, www.wfrl.lib.fl.us, library access is 24/7.
