Lifeguard Season Begins

Navarre Beach will begin its lifeguard season this Saturday, March 3. Four lifeguards will be on duty from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Staff will monitor the number of beach goers at the public gulf-side beach area and monitor the two towers with the greatest need.

As the days get hotter and the number of swimmer’s increase, lifeguard coverage will expand to seven days a week at all four towers. Lifeguard season ends Sunday, Oct. 28.

Always exercise caution when you go to the beach. Beach conditions can be checked on the county’s website santarosa.fl.gov.
