Little Gaetz wants to cut off complusive gambling fee

Rep. Matt Gaetz has introduced legislation that would eliminate a $250,000 regulatory fee pari-mutuel gambling facilities with slot machines pay to help fund the Florida Council on Compulsive Gambling. According to the Daily News, the legislation is part of a larger goal to defund the council and direct the money to the Education Enhancement Trust Fund, which is used to pay for Florida’s Bright Futures Scholarship program.
