Little Rock votes for strong Mayor

Little Rock voters on Tuesday approved measures making the mayor’s job full time and granting him veto power over the city’s Board of Directors.

The vote settles years of debate over whether Arkansas’ largest and capital city ought to have a mayor with more than mostly ceremonial duties.
