After hundreds of hours, and more than 114 miles of walking in efforts to collect the addictive Pokemon, Pensacola resident Jonathan Bryant is confirmed to have collected all 142 of the elusive electronic monsters.

Bryant, 29, completed the collection at about 1 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, on Palafox Pier in downtown Pensacola, where he “hatched” the Porygon. Bryant had been playing the popular Pokemon Go interactive smartphone game for 23 days.

Bryant is one of only a handful of Pokemon Go enthusiast nationwide to collect all 142 monsters.

For most of his quest, Bryant was with his 6-year-old son, Caylum. In his own right, Caylum is a level 18 in the game, an adult-level achievement.

“The Pokemon frenzy started when I was in middle school,” Bryant said. “That was major part of my childhood. To see it brought back in such a way that I could do it with my own son was indescribable.”

Bryant’s user name is Sky5750. Bryant and Caylum are members of the Valor Pokemon Go team.

Bryant located his Pokemon monsters in Pensacola, Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach. He found the monsters at many locations, including Regency Park in Pensacola, Gulf Breeze Bait and Tackle and near Portofino Island Resort.

In addition to Pokemon, Bryant is an avid gamer. He is a Game Master for Cabal Online, as well as a player of Tera Online and Skyforge Online.
