Lot owner pays $1100

Remember the story (Sept 2006) about a house being dumped on a lot on Lee and X Street. Otis English dumped the house without permission. English was hired to demolish the house. Instead, he hauled the structure on metal skids to the corner of X and Lee streets and left it there. English admitted to a code enforcement violation on Aug. 21, 2007, saying he placed the house on the property, according to court documents. He was charged with a third degree felony.

The owner of the lot – was an innocent bystander- was also written up by code enforcement, fined $1100 and had a lien placed on his lot. He had to pay the fine and court costs and is trying to get reimbursement from English.

Crazy!
