Lumon May won every precinct

Lumon May won every precinct in the Democratic primary for County Commission District 3. His team did a better job in getting out the votes than incumbent Marie Young did in 2008. More importantly, May crushed his opponents at Precinct 98 — May 516, Powell 46, Walker 164.

Precinct 98 is Macedonia Baptist Church and Pensacola City Councilman John Jerralds’ home base. Jerralds was at the church all day pushing for Anne Walker and has advised Hugh King, who is running against May in the general election as a no-party affiliation.

Jerralds’ re-election could be in jeopardy. He failed to deliver Macedonia to Mayor Mike Wiggins in 2010 ( Hayward 811 – Wiggins 702) and now May overwhelmingly won it on August 14. Jerralds faces Gerald Wingate in November.
