Mainstreet Fairness Act

Illinois has passed a law that makes online retailers collect sales taxes on its sales to Illinois businesses and citizens. This isn’t a new tax, but the law puts the small retailers on a more level playing field with Amazon.com and other online retailers. It is expected to generate $150 million for Illinois. Read more.

The late Mayor Lane Gilchrist argued for this type of law for Florida for years. Why isn’t our innovative new governor looking at this.?
