State Attorney Bill Eddins announced today that Alonzo Dewayne Thompkins was arrested on August 12, 2016 for one count of Murder. This charge arises out of the death of 2-year old Cornelius Savage who died on August 8, 2016. This case will be presented to the Grand Jury on August 23, 2016. At that time, the Office of the State Attorney will seek an indictment on one count of First Degree Murder.
