‘March for Our Lives’ events today

As part of the ‘Road to Change’ tour, student leaders from March For Our Lives will visit Pensacola today. This will be the group’s last stop in the state to complete its Florida tour.

Following a successful rally in Tallahassee this weekend, where both the national and the Florida tours synced up for the first time on the road, the students now look to bring the movement to the state’s panhandle. The student activists from the Florida tour will host a voter registration event—an upbeat community event that will feature music, food and beverages—followed by a town hall meeting at the University of West Florida.

The town hall will feature a student-led panel, consisting of Marjory Stoneman Douglas activists on tour as well as students from the University of West Florida. Open to the public, both events aim to promote sensible gun laws and talk about the importance of taking back our communities from the NRA.

The Road to Change is a statewide tour taking place in tandem with a larger nationwide tour this summer, aiming to get young people educated, registered, and motivated to vote before the mid-term elections in local communities across the U.S. The public can get more information and RSVP to attend events at: https://marchforourlives.com/tour/.
