Good News: On Friday, March 15, the Palm Beach County Republican Party held its Lincoln Day Gala at Mar-a-Lago to honor Congressman Matt Gaetz as Statesman of the Year.
Peter Schorsch of Florida Politics reported that partygoers stood in line for 40 minutes to see Gaetz. The former president praised the Panhandle Republican during his remarks.
“It’s clear that Gaetz was a hit with the Mar-a-Lago crowd and members of the Republican grassroots who were hundreds of miles away from his home district. Watching Gaetz work the crowd, there was little doubt about his ability to fundraiser.” – Peter Schorsch
Bad News: The Orlando Sentinel reports that Gaetz has been subpoenaed regarding the Joel Greenberg sex scandal. He will testify on April 5. Note: I may not be bad for Matt since it’s a defamation lawsuit against Greenberg.
