Mayor Hayward asks to pull Oliver report from CMPA meeting

Morning paper
The Community Maritime Park Associates Board of Trustees will not hear a presentation from former County Administrator Randy Oliver at its meeting today. Mayor Ashton Hayward has asked that it be pulled from the agenda.

One thing that the daily newspaper has overlooked is Randy Oliver was hired by Mayor Hayward, not the CMPA. It’s up to Mayor Hayward to decide what he wants to do with Oliver’s report. It’s up to Hayward to make recommendations to the CMPA and try to open negotiations with the Blue Wahoos, not CMPA chairman Collier Merrill.
