Mayor Sends FPL Detailed List of City Power Outages

Pensacola—Power Outages:

Last night, Pensacola Mayor D.C. Reeves emailed Florida Power & Light and his senior staff a detailed list of the power outages within the city limits. The list included high-priority locations, partial power/single phase issues and street locations by zip code.

On his Facebook page, the mayor posted: 

7:15 p.m. UPDATE: I’ve submitted more than 200 streets/addresses within the city limits to FPL leadership, sorted by zip code and cleaned of duplications.
1) They are already out working, we know that. And that continues tonight.
2) I can’t promise anything other than ensuring leadership has these to shift focus from overall “95%” and to what I care about
– you all – since what I care about is what percentage of this city is online.  We appreciate all the lineman out there for so many days and we appreciate getting moving on this. Let’s go!

If you are out of power and not listed on the list below, let the city know by calling 3-1-1 or posting your street on the mayor’s Facebook page. You don’t have to give an exact address on the Facebook page.

First, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to your lineworkers, incident command, and mutual-aid crews for their relentless work on the ground across our community. We know how grueling post-storm restoration is, and our city is grateful for every circuit brought back online.

To assist your dispatch and field assessments as you close in on the remaining pockets of outages, I have gathered direct, real-time reports from our citizens across the city between 4:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. We have verified and organized these locations by ZIP code (32501–32505), noting several single-phase/partial power situations, safety hazards, and automated ticket closures where residents remain without power.
