McClure pays $119K to save home

Santa Rosa Tax Collector Robert “Petty Cash” McClure avoided foreclosure on his home by paying off a $119,000 mortgage on his house Thursday. The Daily News reports that a hearing set for 2:45 p.m. was canceled when McClure made the mortgage. County records indicate banks filed court documents to foreclose on McClure’s properties at least four other times, including three times in 2005.
