The Santa Rosa Education Foundation announced Gulf Breeze High School teacher Cailyn Hamster as its 2022 Santa Rosa Rookie of the Year during their Rookie of the Year reception. She was selected from a field of 35 educators with three or less years of teaching experience who were honored at this event. The Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation presented Hamstra with a $500 award.
GBHS principal Danny Brothers said, “Miss Hamstra is a positive role model for teaching with high expectations for student learning. Her teaching expertise and passion, combined with honest care and concern for students, have resulted in a very high level of student success.â€
