Members First Credit Union debuts scholarship program

Members First Credit Union of Florida is proud to reaffirm its commitment to education by offering scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year. Originally founded to serve teachers, Members First continues to emphasize the importance of learning and academic achievement in the communities we serve. Through this scholarship initiative, we aim to support young individuals in the pursuit of higher education and financial stability.

“At Members First Credit Union of Florida, we believe that investing in education is investing in the future,” said Michele Williams, President and CEO at Members First Credit Union of Florida. “By offering these scholarships, we hope to encourage young individuals to pursue their educational goals while reinforcing the importance of financial responsibility and community involvement.”

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates enrolling as first-year students at an accredited college, university, or vocational institution, maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. They must be full-time students, primary account holders at Members First Credit Union of Florida and have at least one parent or guardian as a primary account holder in good standing.

Applications must include one to four academic and personal letters of recommendation and a 500-word essay addressing one of the following topics:
