Members First Credit Union of Florida is proud to reaffirm its commitment to education by offering scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year. Originally founded to serve teachers, Members First continues to emphasize the importance of learning and academic achievement in the communities we serve. Through this scholarship initiative, we aim to support young individuals in the pursuit of higher education and financial stability.
- For the upcoming academic year, Members First Credit Union will award up to four (4) non-renewable scholarships, each valued at $1,250. These scholarships serve as a testament to the Credit Union’s ongoing mission to recognize and reward students who have excelled academically while making meaningful contributions to their communities.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates enrolling as first-year students at an accredited college, university, or vocational institution, maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. They must be full-time students, primary account holders at Members First Credit Union of Florida and have at least one parent or guardian as a primary account holder in good standing.
Applications must include one to four academic and personal letters of recommendation and a 500-word essay addressing one of the following topics:
- How credit unions can better serve Gen Z members
- How credit unions better influence our communities
Each essay will be assessed based on its clarity, depth of insight, and relevance to the credit union’s mission.
