Menge funeral

missing

Just got back from the funeral for M.J. Menge at Trinity Presb. Church. Packed house. Very, very moving celebration of M.J.’s life. One of the few funerals where the pastor actually got choked up.

Judge Lacey Collier spoke on M.J. and his legal career. Banker Tommy Tait spoke on M.J.’s civic involvement and challenged us in Menge’s name to become committed to making our community better. Friend Ed Moore spoke of M.J.’s devotion to family and friends. And his former paster Frank Beall spoke on M.J.’s faith.

There were few dry eyes in the church. A fitting send off to a man that truly embodied the best of Pensacola.
