This wasn’t the email we wanted to send after the election.
Tuesday night, our campaign for governor came to an end — but our fight for straight talk from our leaders and real change for Florida continues on.
We’ve talked to Jim Davis and congratulated him. It was a tough race, but now is the time to remember that we are all Democrats.
So many hopes and dreams went into this effort, and we’ve seen in the eyes of so many of you the disappointment that we came up short.
But this campaign was never just about Rod Smith — it was about a fight for a set of ideas, and that fight will continue.
Winning and losing is part of the political process, and it’s never fun to come up with fewer votes.
But none of us want that to happen for Democrats this November, so we’re committed to staying involved, and I hope you will too.
We are forever grateful for your support and your hard work.
