The Miami Herald has noticed the Panhandle’s anger over how Florida Power & Light has treated its customers since buying Gulf Power.

From the article: “I have not seen an uproar like this against a utility company in Florida,’’ said Jonathan Webber, deputy director of Florida Conservation Voters, which urged the governor to veto the rooftop solar bill. “The anger over there is real. People are upset at FPL and that is real. So how could it not be a factor in the governor’s calculations?”
