“It has been an honor to serve the nation and the citizens of the Northern District of Florida as their United States Attorney for these past six years. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for Northern Florida is routinely recognized as one of the finest U.S. Attorney’s Offices in the nation. I am most grateful to the dedicated and hard working professionals on my staff who have made this, quite simply, the best job I have ever had.
I consider myself blessed to have served with such outstanding public servants. The accomplishments of this district, and its staff, are a source of pride that I will carry with me for long after the ink fades on my letter of appointment. I greatly appreciate the expression of confidence that President Bush gave me in my appointment as United States Attorney.
I also want to thank Governor Charlie Crist, Former Governor Jeb Bush, Senators Mel Martinez, Bill Nelson and Bob Graham, and U.S. Attorney Generals Ashcroft, Gonzales, and Muskasey for their support of my service as United States Attorney, and their confidence in me.â€
