The daily newspaper writes on why Congressman Jeff Miller oppose the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (Miller stands by Bush on veto ). Let’s set aside the issue whether $7 billion a year is too much to spend on children’s health when Miller has voted to spend $17 BILLION A MONTH on the Iraq War.
Pensacola has a regional children’s hospital, Sacred Heart. The SCHIP bill would help that hospital be more accessible to uninsured children and help reduce the burden it has in helping the indigent. SH is a major employer in this area. Miller is voting against the needs of his own district.
Miller should put his district ahead of his party line support of the Bush Administration.
