Ministers ask to delay meeting until FDLE releases its report on Middleton shooting

Sheriff David Morgan told the Independent News that Rev. Larry Watson, president of the Baptist Ministers Union, has asked to delay this organization meeting with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office until the Florida Department of Law Enforcement issues its report on the shooting of Roy Middleton.

The sheriff said the meeting was set for 11 a.m. today, but he will meet with the ministers whenever they would like to do so. He hopes to get the FDLE report in the next two to three weeks.
