One of the people killed in the Air France crash is Erich Heine, 41, of ThyssenKrupp. Heine was in charge of two major projects for his company: a $6 billion steel plant under construction in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the $4.6 billion steel processing plant being built in north Mobile County.
Heine was one of 228 passengers on Air France Flight 447, which disappeared over the Atlantic Ocean en route from Rio to Paris. Wreckage of the Airbus jet was found Tuesday.
