Moby lacks facts to back o’pine

Today, PNJ columnist Mark O’Brien posted his analysis on the consulting fees that are being incurred to develop the master developer agreement.

He makes a statement that has no basis in fact:
“And some council members, fresh from November elections, should realize that the voters’ zeal for the park isn’t anywhere near the 56 percent level it was in the 2006 referendum.”

I have found the opposite is actually true. Many of the successful council candidates will tell you that they heard more and more about how the City needs to get the CMP built.

The Better Pensacola Forum survey – conducted by Mason-Dixon – found that 72 percent of the community found the CMP somewhat important and very important to the revitalization of downtown Pensacola.

The zeal for the park is still there. People are tried with the snail’s pace at which City government operates.

Now if O’Brien has another survey that shows something different. Please share it.
