Moorhead Law Group took home the trophy at United Way of West Florida’s 2nd Annual Battle of the Barristers.
The event tested the knowledge of team members in categories like sports and presidential history during a trivia contest at Odd Colony. Moorhead Law Groups’ “Beyond a Reasonable Stout” beat out teams from Beggs & Lane, Carver Darden, the City of Pensacola, and the returning champs Clark Partington.
“We were delighted to participate in this event that raises awareness and funding for a host of charitable causes enhancing the quality of life for all members of the community,” said Matt Couch, a member of the Moorhead Law Group trivia team. “Kudos to the United Way of West Florida leadership and staff for putting on such a fun and well-organized event. Also, a big thanks to Odd Colony Brewing Co. for hosting!”
Gulf Coast Trophies created a traveling trophy for the Battle of the Barristers. Moorhead Law Group will keep the trophy for the next year and can defend its title at the next event.
“Laughter, friendly competition, and a shared passion for giving back – the legal professionals in our community are amazing,” said United Way of West Florida Director of Development Susan Amburg. “We look forward to continuing to grow this annual event.”
“We are also very thankful to our partners who helped us make Battle of the Barristers successful,” said Amburg. “Especially our trivia emcee Brandon Mayo, who created a really fun and entertaining game.”
Battle of the Barristers raised $3,700 for United Way of West Florida.
