More complaints against Banks Construction

Over the weekend, we continued to hear from people who shared their experiences with Banks Construction. Several asked to kept anonymous, and I’ve honored their requests.

Hi, I just saw your article and wanted to reach out. I paid Banks $90,750 in June 2020 for a demo and rebuild of our home that had fire damage. We had multiple dates that were never kept, in March of this year my husband removed the subfloor on the 2nd floor himself to help speed it up. Matt asked if I knew framers because he couldn’t locate subs to come to Crestview. I called around, got two quotes and he didn’t choose them. Nobody from Banks Construction has done any work since July 2021. The demo was done but that was it. He has code violations with Okaloosa county that he did not comply with. I sent him a demand letter on July 29 terminating services and requested a refund of our deposit.

We were also robbed by Banks Construction, giving him last year $15,500 upfront for a kitchen remodel; no work has been completed on his part.  We are trying to figure what to do and have tried to contact a local attorney. I just read your article and thanks for sharing.

We are also victims of Banks Construction. We gave a $15,500 deposit for a kitchen remodel in August of 2021. We had about an 8-month wait for all of our appliances to come in, so we had no idea that there were problems, and that our work would never get completed. They did schedule a demo date for us, but at that time we had started hearing about unfinished work. We told them the demo could only start when our cabinets were ready to go in, thank goodness! We don’t know what the next step is. I’m sure we will never see that money again.
