More constitutional amendments from GOP

Sen. Don Gaetz and his Pre K-12 education committee have approved a bill that would have the voters vote on yet another constitutional amendment. This one would make the education commissioner an elected cabinet member.

If the measure passes both chambers, the proposed amendment would go before voters during the 2008 general election. If a majority votes in favor, the first election for education commissioner would be in fall 2010.

…..Just a couple a years ago, Gov. Jeb Bush and the GOP were bemoaning how we had too many constitutional amendments on the ballot. Now the Republican lawmakers are coming up with a new every day.

….Aren’t conservatives suppose to be for less government?
