More shootings in the City of Pensacola

The City of Pensacola has had two shootings within the last 48 hours.

A Pensacola man is hospitalized after he was shot Tuesday night inside his home in Scenic Heights.

The incident, which occurred in the 6200 block of San Monica Road, was reported to police just before 9:30 p.m. Neighbors told police they heard one gunshot and went outside to investigate. Two people were seen running from the area just after the shooting.

The 28-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition. A single bullet hole was found in one of the outside doors to the house. The Gun Crime Response Team was activated.

Pensacola Police are investigating a shooting that occurred inside a vehicle at Blount and Watson streets in East Pensacola Heights.
The incident was reported to police around 2:30 a.m. today.

Sgt. Kristin Brown said a male and female, who are boyfriend and girlfriend, were in the vehicle and began arguing. The female was driving at the time. During the argument, the male shot her in the face.

Brown said the female was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect is in custody and is being interviewed at the Pensacola Police Department.
