Movies in the Park concludes with ‘Encanto’ on Friday

The City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with Latino Media Gulf Coast, Periódico La Costa Latina Bilingual Newspaper, to host a celebration of Latin heritage during the pre-show activity segment of the 2022 Movies in the Park summer series finale, scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5.

Latino Media Gulf Coast will sponsor the evening’s entertainment, featuring a Mexican folkloric dance performance by Ballet Folklórico de San Patricio of Robertsdale, a mini parade with South American and Caribbean flair by Krewe de Karnaval, and a special meet and greet opportunity to take a picture with a character from the movie. A screening of the movie Encanto, Rated PG, is scheduled to follow the pre-show activity segment at sunset.

This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to watch the movie on the amphitheater lawn. Concessions will be available for purchase, and outside food is welcome. Pets and glass bottles are prohibited at the event.

Free event parking will be available at Community Maritime Park and City Hall.
