The Miami Herald reports that two GOP lawmakers want to pass a law make sure Florida courts aren’t corrupted by Muslim Sharia law. Neither Sen. Alan Hays nor Rep. Larry Metz, though, can name a Florida case where international law or Islamic law has caused a problem in a state court.
This Muslim-phobia is getting out of hand. Now lawmakers are inventing problems to attack people who practice Islam. Freedom of religion means all religions.

In France, a poll published Tuesday shows the leader of the French far right National Front party, Marine Le Pen, beating any of the other likely candidates – on the left or the right – in the first round of next year’s presidential election. Le Pen is running on a strong anti-Muslim stance. She has compared Muslims to an “occupying force†in France.
