Southeastern Teen Shakespeare Company announces Summer Camp
PENSACOLA, Fla. – It’s a mystery of Shakespearean proportions as this year’s campers create a whodunit from the ground up using Shakespearean characters, plots, intrigue, dialogue, and combat. Each camper will get to choose a Shakespearean character to play, agree on a Shakespearean murder victim, and help write and perform an original play using Shakespearean themes. Campers will learn about the plays, acting, and stage combat in this week-long experience that culminates in a live performance.
Registration is now open for Mystery Shakespeare Theater Camp for students ages 9-17. Camp will meet at the Southeastern Teen Shakespeare Company space in the old Sacred Heart hospital June 13 through 17 from 9:00am to 4:30pm. Tuition is $250, and campers will need to pack a lunch. More information and registration is available at setsco.org. Students registering before June 1 will receive a $15 discount.
The Southeastern Teen Shakespeare Company is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing teens in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties with instruction and performance opportunities that lead to their significant growth as artists and community members.
