Press Release: Pensacola Country Club was the scene for the 10th Annual Meeting and Development of the Year Awards Program hosted by the Commercial Real Estate Developers Association, NAIOP Northwest Florida. Bo Johnson, former Speaker of the House for the State of Florida and 2012 NAIOP NW FL Chapter President, emceed the event, which was held on Thursday, January 31, 2013.
The NAIOP NW FL Chapter had a very productive year in 2012 as it gained membership and saw a net gain in the budget.
President, Bo Johnson, pointed out that in 2012, our NAIOP Chapter has seen “50 Shades of Green†in Northwest Florida – from the panel of experts who informed NAIOP members about the process of filing BP claims; the tax experts at Warren Averett O’Sullivan Creel who coached attendees on changes and requirements relating to tax codes and health care regulations; to watching the Pensacola Wahoos play ball at their beautiful new stadium – NAIOP and its members have been involved!
Rick Emmanuel of Emmanuel Shepard & Condon, was presented the President’s Appreciation Award for all his hard work leading the monthly NAIOP Chat programs to new levels of excellence.
NAIOP Board Member & Education Chairman, Hal Dell, presented the NAIOP Scholarship Awards to UWF Construction Program students Lindsey Foy and Mario Reyes.
The NAIOP NW FL Chapter “Charitable Organization†for 2013 is Manna Food Bank. Members and guests showed support by bringing canned goods and making monetary donations.
In 2013, NAIOP NW FL will be directed by the capable leadership of Brad Lacour.
